Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer
(2 year employment contract or B2B)
Location: Warszawa/Kraków/Remote
Responsible for ongoing administration and support of the Infrastructure Monitoring application DataDog in a complex production environment. Works closely with clients, support and implementation teams and peers to understand fairly complex business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
An ideal candidate will be required to troubleshoot and monitor issues that require adept knowledge of Datadog, network devices, servers, applications and databases. They will also be able to take their expert technical skillset and mentor other team members through difficult technical situations.
Job Prerequisites:

4 years experience in Infrastructure Monitoring (network infrastructure, servers, applications and databases)

2 years experience in a Saas Infrastructure Monitoring application or APM tool (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus,Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics). DataDog is Preferred.

Working experience with SNMP V2 and V3, traps, OID’s and MIB’s

Basics Shell scripting and Python programming language.

Working experience in a DevOps environment.

Strong knowledge of documenting technical standards and procedures.

Strong diagnostic and analytical abilities.

Genuine interest in improving Infrastructure Monitoring performance and developing new skills in this area.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving environment.

Able to work independently or as a part of the team.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
The Candidate
Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success on a team doing the following:

Responsible for Infrastructure Monitoring related functional analysis, developing monitoring functional specifications, requirements definition, data mapping, function mapping, setting of configurations, integrations with other tools, prototyping and testing for complex Infrastructure Monitoring.

Provides user support from Infrastructure Monitoring perspective.

Performs analysis and judgment outside established protocols.

Writes standard operating procedures for Infrastructure Monitoring related tasks, alerts and responses, reporting and solving incidents, etc.
