For our Client, a global manufacturing company operating in the recycling sector, we are looking for a Country Financial Controller in Gdynia. This position involves establishing the financial and controlling framework in Poland, while maintaining a connection with the corporate entity based in France.

Responsibilities:
  • overseeing the monthly closing process to facilitate timely group reporting, encompassing country-specific results, verification of financial accuracy through journals and checks, and addressing any disparities with regional counterparts,
  • conducting profitability evaluations across business lines and proposing optimization strategies,
  • taking charge of industrial control activities involving cost and revenue analysis, contributing to informed decision-making by the management,
  • maintaining monthly inventory precision and valuation,
  • enforcing adherence to Group Accounting Policies,
  • driving transformative changes in the reporting process, elevating the quality and unifying country-level reporting to achieve global standardization,
  • acting as the focal point for coordinating the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) procedures within the country,
  • leading finance and accounting projects, actively participating in enhancing and implementing new systems both presently and in the future.
  • generating ad-hoc analyses when needed.
Requirements:
  • experience in financial controlling or financial audit,
  • familiarity with Accounting, Consolidation, IFRS, and policies, including the distinction between PPA and local financials, would be advantageous,
  • demonstrating a capacity to operate both independently and collaboratively with colleagues across various business sectors, while seamlessly integrating into the finance team and liaising with auditors,
  • fluent communication in English,
  • accountancy qualifications (such as ACCA/CIMA) would be an asset,
  • strong technical skills - advanced Excel, and knowledge of AX Dynamics would be an asset,
  • excellent analytical skills,
  • strong problem-solving skills.
