We are recruiting a Financial Controller to join our global RtR department based in Krakow, Poland. Members of the Financial Controllers - Europe team are primarily responsible for preparing statutory financial reports, handling tax matters, overseeing entities’ P&L and BS and ensuring organizational financial stability, statutory compliance for entities within assigned area. Financial Controller will also act as a main point of contact for external auditors for providing source information and drive completion of statutory audits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete Statutory Financial Statements and assist with statutory audits for entities within the scope of responsibilities

  • Ensure that all government returns such as corporate income tax, environmental and statistical reports or the other relevant tax requirements etc. are duly prepared and submitted to the authorities.

  • Provide advice on VAT and local GAAP requirements to other finance and non-finance departments

  • Manage and support Genpact team for month end tasks, balance sheet reconciliation, payroll items.

  • Oversee payroll postings and associated reconciliations.

  • Complete responsibility for US GAAP balance sheet month end reporting process including ownership over HFM reporting to the Corporate. Manage quarterly balance sheet review meetings with the EMEA Regional Controller

  • Support projects and cross countries initiatives

About You:

  • You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in economics and accounting.

  • You have proven experience & knowledge and understanding of Accounting and Reporting in a multinational company,

  • You have a knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS reporting gained in a multinational company

  • You have had exposure to major ERP system, preferably SAP R3/S4.

  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as within the team and multi-task to complete assignments within deadlines while demonstrating attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness.

  • Strong work ethic, judgement, curiosity and flexibility to support critical activities

  • Adaptability, flexibility and a positive attitude to changing demands and circumstance

  • Emotional intelligence needed for effective teamwork and relationship building with the business, along with communication and presentation skills and business acumen

  • Excellent command of English (proficiency level) both spoken and in written
