The area of data management at PwC Poland is critical to all digital projects, which is why the Data Solutions department is made up of a group of super-specialists who fully understand our clients and business needs. We design Data Warehouses, configure reporting systems, plan, and implement data migration processes for companies in various industrial sectors. Our engineers take care of Data Quality, optimize SQL and procedural code regardless of the technology, and define flows in ETL/ELT processes. We deploy the most innovative Customer Experience solutions for our clients.

We are looking for:


Data Engineer


Data Solutions Practice team specializes in elevating clients data capabilities - both on premise and in the cloud. From building advanced data platforms and engineering services to offering comprehensive data analytics, BI, and integration, we ensure seamless data migration, effective visualization, and insightful reporting. Our expertise in data modeling and integration empowers your business with actionable insights, driving informed decisions and strategic growth.


Your future role:

  • Participate in Data Platform & Engineering delivery for clients from a variety of industries.
  • Work with teammates to come up with the most efficient technological solutions to address clients’ needs. In particular: deliver advanced scalable data processing architectures, design and implement custom data processing tools (Python, PySpark etc.), ensure efficient data movement including data cleansing, transformation & continuous monitoring, enable real-time analytics and stream processing.
  • Write unit tests for delivered scripts, notebooks etc.
  • Share your knowledge with less experienced teammates.
  • Adhere to the company's Delivery Excellence framework, contribute to Data Solutions Practice ways of working and internal delivery guidelines.


Apply if you have:

  • Professional experience in Data Engineer role.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Databricks\PySpark\Python.
  • Good knowledge of SQL language​.
  • Hands-on experience with data related tech stack from at least one of three major cloud providers.
  • Good knowledge of at least one ETL tool (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Cloud Data Fusion, AWS Glue, Apache NiFi etc.)
  • Experience with BI tools and reporting models (PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, Looker etc.)
  • Practical knowledge of unit testing.
  • Team player (experience in working in an international environment is a plus).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Very good communication skills (both oral and written communication). 
  • Good command of English (C1 level).


Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with Delta Lake.
  • Hands on experience with Azure cloud.
  • Certification in Azure / AWS / Google cloud (data engineering paths) 
  • Certification in Databricks .
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
  • Hands-on experience with software development principles and standards (e.g:  PEP, DRY, SOLID, Design Patterns).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools.
