The Client is a global visual inspiration social media platform used by people around the world to discover and personalize visual content.

About the role:

As Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure Engineer), you will work on one of the world's largest social media platform which deals with a few petabytes of data coming to the system daily. You will contribute as part of R&D self-organized team working in a challenging, innovative environment for our client.

Investigate, create, and implement the solutions for many technical challenges using cutting edge technologies, including building/enhancing Big Data processing platform enabling work of software used by hundreds of millions of users.

Your future tasks:

• Create blueprints for hybrid cloud infrastructures centered around AWS (network, server, storage, security, and management software topologies.
• Provide hands-on, prototypes, and implementations incorporating cloud engineering best practices, develop technical content like white paper etc.
• Design, implement and maintain pipelines that produce business critical data reliably and efficiently using cloud technology.
• Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
• Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
• Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs.
• Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
• Understand the business drivers and analytical use-cases and translate these to data products.

Our Requirements:

• Experience as Software Engineer with AWS Cloud services (AWS).
• Experience with programming languages C++ and Python
• Experience with production back-end service development
• Experience with service operations (deployment, testing)
• Experience with assessing application performance (latency, CPU utilization, profiling)
• Experience with Infrastructure as a Services API development
• Knowledge of SSH, HTTPS, Certs, Encryption protocols
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing AWS solutions, including a strong understanding of AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, VPN, Network Segmentation, Security Groups, ELB, DR Health Check programs, and ASG.
• Deep understanding of cloud component architecture: Microservices, Containers, IaaS, Storage, Security, Knowledge of routing/switching technologies.
• A passion for streamlining systems and processes to make the difficult trivial.
