About the role:

As an Event Manager, you will join the Capgemini MACS team to manage and orchestrate events during all phases of the event lifecycle. Together with marketing leaders and business executives, you will shape Capgemini’s presence at events. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing various events and conferences within Capgemini. Your primary goal is to create impactful and successful events that align with our business and marketing objectives and enhance our reputation. From the early planning stages to program development, execution, and post-event analytics, you will play a key role within our Marketing & Communications team.

You will collaborate and engage with executive teams, marketing teams and experts across marketing and the business. As an Event Manager, you will manage pre-event planning, bringing together appropriate team members throughout planning phases to collaborate on strategies, ideas, and plans. You will own the event design and creative delivery workstream, will have visibility into the event budget and will own all event-related project management. Event managers will create timelines and identify contingencies across event workstreams. You will collaborate with the core-team to develop communication plans and prospectus/event materials for internal delegates. Event managers are responsible for completing each project and leveraging data to improve future events and sales opportunities.

Our Requirements:

  • Global event management experience is a must.
  • Around 7-10 years of event planning, management and execution experience required.
  • Passion for marketing and communication, confirmed by at least bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications or Psychology.
  • Ability to manage all aspects of event logistics, including budgeting, vendor management, and on-site coordination.
  • Strategic thinking when it comes to event planning and alignment with event objectives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (including facilitation, stakeholder management and expectation setting).
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience with managing and collaborating with a diverse group of senior leaders, marketers, marketing professionals - understanding and balancing requirements and ensuring the event satisfies the team and the brief throughout the event process.
  • Vendor and supplier management and negotiation experience.
  • Creativity and innovation in event planning, design, and execution.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Being comfortable working under tight timelines to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Motivated and inspired to improve the bottom line, process, and ways of working as needed.
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).

Your future tasks:

  • Managing and orchestrating events end-to-end.
  • Translating business objectives into inspiring and engaging event experiences.
  • Planning and maintaining the event calendar (industry, analyst, partner events) for attendance and sponsorship after understanding the objectives of specific business areas and practices.
  • Preparing for meetings, organizing guest speakers, and ordering event supplies.
  • Managing conference sponsorships and calculating budgets.
  • Researching venues, vendors, suppliers, and travel then negotiating prices and booking.
  • Working with a larger marketing team to create marketing collateral and event branding, while using different channels like internal communications, campaigns, web, and social media to publicize and promote the event.
  • Working with the local marketing teams where applicable.
  • Liaising with external vendors and agencies, internal legal and internal finance teams.
  • Creating event reports with event highlights (for executives and participants).
  • Reporting the event outcomes and suggesting improvements for future delivery.
