About the role:

We are currently seeking an ETL Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with various clients within the banking sector, engaging in testing processes for various data systems being responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of data transformations, extractions, and loading processes within the organization’s data warehouse and lifecycle Our clientele encompasses a wide range of financial institutions, fostering an environment rich in diverse challenges and opportunities.

As a ETL Test Engineer, you will work alongside a dynamic team comprising both junior professionals and seasoned experts. This blend of talent ensures a collaborative environment where knowledge exchange and skill development thrive.

Your future tasks:

• Collaborate within the development team, business analysts and data engineering to understand the ETL process and business requirements.
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for ETL processes, report test progress and defects.
• Perform Functional, System, Integration, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing on ETL workflows.
• Identify and report data quality issues and anomalies and work with the team to resolve them.

Frequently used technologies:

• DataStage is a big plus.
• Oracle SQL developer.
• Snowflake.
• Good to know: qTest Manager (or experience with another Test Management tools).
• Good to know: JIRA & Confluence.

Our Requirements:

• Independence and maturity in his role.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in all test concepts and test levels; ISTQB certification is a big advantage.
• Excellent analytical skills, ability to understand the requirements and design comprehensive tests.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong knowledge of ETL and Data Warehousing concepts.
• Proven experience as an ETL Tester, hands-on experience with ETL testing tools and frameworks.
• Certification in ETL Testing or related is a plus.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries (DDL, DQL, DML).
• Data Migration experience is a plus.
• Experience in data mocking for testing purposes.
• Experience in data analysis for ordering integrated data related to use cases and acceptance criteria.
• Basic knowledge of Unix commands and file system.
• Experience in the Baking domain is a plus (e.g. Anti Money Laundering, Current Accounts, Savings Accounts).
• Knowledge and experience in Agile frameworks like SAFe or Scrum is a big plus.
