The FCU Technology team at PwC Polska includes over 100 IT specialists. The financial services industry operates in a challenging environment due to global economic pressures, increasing regulatory and capital requirements, and significant operational and technological changes. As FCU Technology, we provide innovative technological solutions, data analytics and consulting services for global PwC clients, responding to key challenges in the area of Anti Financial Crime (Anti Money Laundering, Combating Terrorism Financing, Fraud Risk Management, FATCA and implementation of financial sanctions, etc.).

 

We are looking for:

Data Manager

 

Your future role:

  • You will manage data analytics consulting projects - propose solutions, gather business and technical requirements, supervise implementation of data and technology solutions

  • You will collaborate with team members on client projects to develop data-driven solutions for complex challenges, playing a pivotal role in project delivery while building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • You will assist in designing, developing and implementing management information products, analytical solutions and raw data extraction processes, guide the team on quality validation techniques, and leverage your extensive data expertise to ensure accurate data ingestion throughout the pipeline. You will also provide insights on transforming raw data into informative visualizations to support management decisions.

  • You will lead the development of data tools for transformation, management, and access, while advising the team on writing and validating code to enhance the resilience of data storage and platform availability.

  • You will oversee the implementation of performance monitoring protocols in data pipelines, mentoring the team on creating visualizations and aggregations to track pipeline health. Additionally, you’ll coach the team on implementing solutions to reduce failure points across multiple product features.

  • You will support the identification of data governance requirements, oversee the design of data modeling and handling processes to ensure legal and policy compliance, and manage data accessibility within your pipelines.

  • You will prepare team members for stakeholder meetings, addressing data requirement concerns by offering your guidance. You’ll also assist in evaluating data costs, access, usage, use cases, dependencies, and availability for business or customer scenarios related to one or more product features and coach your staff members to develop them further.

  • In addition to the above, you will keep up with latest Technology and Anti Financial Crime trends and work on internal initiatives developing new value propositions for our Clients

Apply if you have:

  • 4+ years experience in data/business analytics, data engineering or data modeling project delivery (preferably for Financial Services sector)

  • Experience in data governance, data stewardship, or a similar role would be an asset

  • Analytical and results-oriented mindset

  • Ability to identify and address client needs, develop and maintain meaningful client relationships

  • Understanding of statistical analytics methods and the ability to apply these in the appropriate circumstances

  • Experience in data querying technologies (e.g. SQL) and programming languages for process automations (e.g. Python, VBA)

  • Knowledge of data visualization/dashboarding technologies (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)

  • Proficiency in agile methodologies

  • Experience scaling and managing team of  5+ persons 

  • University degree (preferred in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Big Data)

  • Excellent written & spoken English with great communication skills 

Nice to have:

  • Fluency in German, Dutch of French would be an advantage
