We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Risk Quality Assurance VP. This role is located in Wroclaw – HYBRID. Title in the contract: Vice President Enterprise Risk II

The Risk Quality Assurance (Risk QA) team, within the Second Line of Defense, provides assurance over the effectiveness of the design and implementation of the risk and compliance management activities within BNY. Risk QA conducts reviews of the design and operating effectiveness of risk and compliance frameworks, working with stakeholders globally, to pro-actively identify solutions that optimize effectiveness and sustainability. 

Risk QA is seeking a senior specialist (Vice President) with risk management AND compliance and/or control testing OR audit-like expertise and experience to conduct assurance reviews and advise internal stakeholders from all parts of BNY on potential solutions. This role is HYBRID and the office is located in Wrocław, Poland.

In this role, you will: 

  • Assess the adequacy and implementation of the risk and compliance frameworks through design and operating effectiveness testing
  • Raise issues to document, monitor and validate identified process/control gaps and/or internal policy/regulatory non-compliance 
  • Identify solutions, including through a market comparison, to help stakeholders resolve identified gaps
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with review stakeholders (Director+), team members, and others in the organization
  • Independently manage all phases of assigned reviews in accordance with Risk QA policies, methodologies, and standards

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • Min. 5 years of experience in testing and/or audit covering risk management activities (e.g. Operational, Credit, Liquidity risk frameworks)
  • Aptitude for identifying and resolving issues, troubleshooting challenges, and developing solutions
  • Strong communication and effective interpersonal skills to build relationships and liaise with internal stakeholders, senior management (Director+), and team members
  • In-depth understanding of risk management activities, incl. regulatory requirements
  • Consultancy and/or research type of experience is a plus
