Finance Managed Services (FMS) in PwC Poland is rapidly expanding as part of the Managed Services Operations. You can play an important role in supporting and transforming the operations of our domestic and international Clients. We continuously enhance our operations by applying best practices, streamlining processes, and integrating cutting-edge technological solutions for our customers. Join us in shaping and transforming operations for our domestic and international clients, as we delve into diverse, complex projects and collaborate closely with expert consulting teams to provide comprehensive finance services, including accounting and reporting, tax as well as financial planning & analysis, across various sectors in the region.  

We are looking for: 

Accounting Specialist – Project Environment

Your future role:

  • Perform day-to-day operational accounting tasks within a dynamic financial project environment,
  • Process and verify accounting transactions in at least one of the functional areas: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or General Ledger with a sope of the responsibilities depending on project requirements, 
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities for assigned scope. 
  • Prepare and review reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts, investigate and resolve discrepancies. 
  • Support implementation and stabilization of new processes, tools and systems within project streams. 
  • Participate in transitions/migrations of accounting activities (knowledge transfer, documentation, testing) and maintain and update process documentation, work instructions and controls related to assigned area. 
  • Support in ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP) and internal control requirements. 
  • Assist in training and onboarding of new team members within the assigned accounting scope.

Apply if you have:  

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, 
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in at least 2 accounting processes (AP, AR, or GL) within a corporate or SSC environment, 
  • Professional working proficiency in English, 
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis), 
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics, 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively in a professional setting. 

Nice to have: 

  • Previous experience in Shared Service Center (SSC), 
  • ACCA or other accounting certification in progress.
