Finance Managed Services (FMS) in PwC Poland is rapidly expanding as part of the Managed Services Operations. You can play an important role in supporting and transforming the operations of our domestic and international Clients. We continuously enhance our operations by applying best practices, streamlining processes, and integrating cutting-edge technological solutions for our customers. Join us in shaping and transforming operations for our domestic and international clients, as we delve into diverse, complex projects and collaborate closely with expert consulting teams to provide comprehensive finance services, including accounting and reporting, tax as well as financial planning & analysis, across various sectors in the region.   

We are looking for:  

GL Accounting Expert with Czech/Slovak/Romanian – Project Environment 

Your future role:  

  • Lead and perform end-to-end General Ledger accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing,  
  • Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and key financial schedules in compliance with internal policies and accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP, as applicable),  
  • Identify and drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and standardization across GL processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.  
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams (AP, AR, Tax, FP&A) to ensure data integrity and seamless financial operations, 
  • Lead and act as a subject matter expert during client calls, especially when addressing the most complex accounts and operational challenges,  
  • Design, implement, and monitor internal control systems to protect financial assets and ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial transactions and records,  
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients to streamline payment processes and promptly resolve any client-related payment issues.

Apply if you have:  

  • Extensive expertise in GL accounting, with at least 5-6 years of experience in complex General Ledger areas and advanced knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP,  
  • Professional working proficiency in English and Czech/Slovak or Romanian, with proven ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting,  
  • Demonstrated experience with leading accounting software platforms and ERP systems for transaction processing and financial record maintenance, such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics,    
  • Results and solution-oriented approach, capable of working in a global environment and adapting to shifting priorities, including direct client supervision, even on client premises.  
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and feedback skills, enabling the leadership of operational quality calls,  
  • Strong organizational abilities to prioritize, deliver tasks efficiently, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.  

Nice to have:  

  • Experience in maintaining external accounting for a variety of clients,  
  • ACCA or any other accounting certificate.
