Record to Report Accountant

REQUIREMENTS
  • Relevant University degree (Accounting or Finance preferred) or equivalent education
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in accounting
  • Very good spoken & written English (B2)
  • Good MS Excel knowledge
  • Analytical skills
  • Being able to work within tight operational deadlines and priorities
  • Good problem-solving skills and cooperation attitude
  • Knowledge of SAP accounting system (considered an asset) 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performing journal entry processing and Fixed Asset accounting
  • Preparing recurring accruals, prepayment releases, regular and ad hoc reports
  • Reconciling Intercompany transactions, dedicated GL accounts, resolving any unreconciled items
  • Ensuring month-end processes are completed accurately and according to month and year  end closing schedule
  • Initiating corrective action on items not correctly posted/coded 
  • Ensuring operational and design effectiveness of the controls over financial reporting within  areas of responsibility 
  • Communicating with clients on a regular basis, ensuring timely and accurate responses to any  client queries
  • Supporting audit as required
  • Ensuring that developed KPIs and SLAs are continuously met and proper company policies  are being followed
  • Performing other related tasks assigned by the team manager
  • Accounting processes for UK entites
