Job Description
As an R&D Manager you would be responsible for: * creating and managing R&D department; * research, design and development of new ideas, manufacturing technology, machinery improvement; * coordinating NPD projects and overseeing their execution within set criteria, timing, quality and budget from initial through prototype phase, finishing with the serial production service; * new suppliers assessment, RFQ, business cases calculation and S&P strategy; * assessment of risks, conflicts and introducing corrective actions; * preparation of the budget (both for department and NPD projects); * representing department during external audits; * active cooperation with other departments.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in that role you should possess: * at least 5 years of professional experience gained on a similar position in R&D Department/ Construction Department/ NPD Department, Project Management area, etc. at international company from automotive industry (experience in greenfield environment and creation of department from scratch would be additional assets); * technical education background; * at least 3 years of experience in people management; * proven track of records in leading innovative projects; * knowledge of automotive norms and standards (e.g. IATF16949, APQP, DFSS); * very good command of English; * communicative, open, self-confident and assertive personality.
