Job Description
- Cash allocation
- Processes all GL journal entries (including tax, local GAAP and IFRS/IAS)
- Sundry billing for selected cases
- Processing period end closing procedures
- Support local GAAP, IFRS IAS, Tax & Year End Audit
- Control of fixed assets and inventory
- Order settlement / cost center accounting and allocation
- Calculate proposals for warranty and other provisions
- FI/CO-reconciliations
- Group Reporting/Disclosures
- BS ad hoc reporting & analysis for SSC Management
- Enter Cash Flow Forecast to the system
- Provide internal and external audit support
- Provide backup for other positions within the General Ledger team
- Follow all required monthly processing, ensure completeness within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA's)
- Identify and undertake continuous system and process improvements to ensure quality service delivery to key stakeholders
- Work closely with the SSC EE Finance Head to set performance targets (KPI's), work plans, and mitigate identified risk areas
- Involved in processes to achieve and maintain global standardization
- Maintain/archive supporting documents, reports and files (shared drive, SharePoint)
The Successful Applicant
- GL accountant must be familiar with general accounting procedures, having a good understanding of local GAAP, IFRS/IAS, understanding of tax regulations
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details and ability to resolve complex issues with multiple variables
- Be able to work in teams and work alone under self-direction
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as the position has contacts with various levels throughout the company's organization
- Strong organizational skills, demonstrate sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines, stress resistant
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Intermediate-advanced level Excel skills
- Very good English language skills, German a plus, other languages desirable: Hungarian, Czech, Slovak
- Desired relevant working experience is over 5 years in a multinational environment, SSC experience preferred
