Job description:

FO Data CP enables Contracting & Procurement to become the Commercial Powerhouse of Shell with innovative data solutions. The Specialist – Data C&P will be a key player in achieving this by being responsible and accountable for each e2e operational requests for the supported business unit, through strengthening partnerships in E2E team; and helping to liberate more value from operational excellence.

 

• Primary purpose of the job is to perform the non-commercial aspects of the Category Management and Contracting Process front-end process, such as Supplier Qualification and Registration, MK Denial Checks, Integrity Due Diligence Checks, Supplier Financial Risk Assessments, and master data set-up of Materials, Services, Vendors and Contracts,
• Engages with frontline CP in the business and interacts with third party business focals (i.e. Achilles, Finance Ops Teams), Suppliers and other CP Data Operational teams to ensure business requirements are met within target timelines,
• Performs root cause analysis, exceptions reporting and engages in operational reviews meeting with CP Leads to jointly prioritise, resolve and perform better as an e2e unit together with CP Leads,
• Demonstrates process expertise and business acumen with ability to act as Technical Lead when required. Plays the role as the senior CP Data expert for a particular business unit,
• Maintains Reporting files and other similar trackers/logs and lead resolution of any queries.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Manages the end-to-end process from supplier qualification to CP data (.e.g Materials, Services, Vendors, Contracts) set-up through close coordination with CP Leads, third party business focals (i.e. Achilles, Group Screening, Finance Operations), Suppliers and CP Data Operations Team to ensure business requirements are satisfied  within the required timeline,
• Demonstrates leadership on Process and related technology, and acts as Technical lead when required,
• Responsible for taking ownership to independently interpret and respond to queries (including complex queries) related to the requests and process. May play the role of super user as required,
• Supports Analysts with processing requests and responding to queries and other process related matters.
• Maintain the records of work completed like work log, etc. Lead and support senior employees and focal points in analysis and resolution of issues,
• Lead role in Cleanse projects and initiatives in Top Quartile journey,
• Lead role in implementing record archival policies and ensure compliance in line with Group Records Management,
• Ensures that Controls are consistently followed. Play a support role in developing, updating Controls’ related documents,
• Captures and shares new ideas. Assists in the implementation of operational improvement initiatives to ensure integration of resources, best practices and continuity of operational procedures including root cause analysis, exceptions identification and the execution of improvements.

 

Requirements:
Education:

  • Graduate of Business, Engineering, Finance or Procurement/Logistics preferred,
  • Strong written & spoken English. Other languages can be a competitive advantage for European based staff,
  • Graduate of  Engineering Mechanical,Electrical/Instrumentation/chemical.

 

Experience/Skill:

  • 4-6+ Business/Finance/Commerce/IT/Engineering skill pool experience (Engineering background and experience required for Materials role - would be an asset),
  • Knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation commodity systems and its components used in the Oil and Gas Industry,
  • Experiences in Master Reference Data, SAP modules, or demonstrated understanding of data management principles are desirable,
  • Experience and proficiency in MS Office applications like MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, etc.,
  • Project management experience and knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodology is desirable.
