Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the growth of the a Best-in-Class SRM program at State Street;
  • Establish relationships with key strategic suppliers including data review and analysis, performance management and development, and improvement of the end-to-end value and bring innovation to State Street;
  • Be accountable for the full profile (spend, performance, governance) of assigned strategic suppliers;
  • Schedule and conduct regular business reviews (e.g. QBRs), leading discussions from State Street’s side, and working with business units to present a unified message to the supplier;
  • Build supplier profile presentations (slide decks, working documents, executive presentations);
  • Manage supplier disruptions, including performance problems (SLA/KPI underperformance), using superior negotiation skills – working directly with the supplier’s leadership team;
  • Contracting knowledge – understanding of core contract elements and how they relate to supplier management;
  • Formulate supplier enablement strategies based on internal demand and strategy; deliver on goals relating to supplier performance, value, and savings;
  • Develop supplier communication materials to promote capabilities internally and drive supplier consolidation (rationalization) plans and economies of scale;
  • Mitigate risk by routinely evaluating supplier performance and risk factors; develop mitigation plans;
  • Gathering and addressing supplier feedback;
  • Support supplier segmentation analysis (tiering), collaborating with category sourcing teams and business units to validate supplier rankings.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven track of records in managing suppliers;
  • Experience managing large strategic suppliers;
  • Sourcing Experience with 1 or more of the following categories: Information Technology, Professional Services (Consulting, Legal, Audit, and/or BPO);
  • Broad understanding of business operating and practices, and how procurement supports corporate goals;
  • Supplier negotiation experience with understanding of standard procurement contract elements;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to work independently and within a team;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong business relationships; excellent stakeholder management skills;
  • Strong analytic skills; able to think creatively and pull together information from multiple sources to generate a complete view and communicate it;
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment; ability to priority demands;
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, responsive and be able to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment;
  • Technically proficient on standard business applications and able to learn new technologies as they relate to this role.
