Job description:

Purpose & Accountabilities:

To enable Contracting & Procurement to become the most competitive and world class Supply Chain function, the System and Process Innovation Specialists will deliver business value by:

 

  • Leading onboarding of vendors to ARIBA Supplier Network to enable electronic transactions between Shell and suppliers and drive transformation and digitalization of Shell’s supply chains, CP work and processes across the enterprise. 

  • Providing support during the onboarding process, sustaining global process standards, addressing process issues, proposing improvements to increase performance, compliance and execution.

  • Ensuring a high quality and consistent usage of the Global Standard operating Model.

  • Support implementation of the Procurement of Goods and Services (PGS) process on the ERP platforms and related tools/ applications with associated delivery of efficiencies across both CP and Businesses.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Plan, schedule and manage the onboarding of vendors to the Ariba Supplier Network across three regions

  • Identify Supplier/Contracting & Procurement P Go-See opportunities and trigger improvements from the feedback

  • Co-ordinate & expedite critical Ariba related IT issues

  • Ensure system Interface error management processes are operating as designed, address improvements

  • Monitor, report and pursue reduction in System Interface errors, liaising with Process & IT Architects where necessary to effect improvement

  • Ensure delivery against relevant project team planned activities


Special Challenges:

The incumbent must have the ability to cultivate effective working relationships both with internal stakeholders and external supplier representatives across Group entities/ countries mainly in the North America and EMEA region in different time zones. The incumbent needs to deal well with change, have excellent communication skills, confidence to speak with external parties and ability to balance multiple priorities.

 

Requirements:

Skills & Requirements:

 

  • Knowledge of Requisition-to-Pay (RtP) or Manage Materials (MM) processes with proven track record in at least 1 sub-process area

  • +3/4 years of experience in the business environment and senior leadership in the global organizations

  • Knowledge of SAP Materials Management module functionality across one ERP. Awareness of other SAP modules (PS, PM, etc.) would be a plus

  • Excellent influencing, communication and networking skills

  • Experience of change management projects

  • Experienced in onboarding Suppliers to Ariba

  • Ability to operate effectively at both a strategic and tactical level

  • Experience & knowledge of SAP-ERP and CP CAP IT systems

  • Support cross-functional teams with well-developed people skills

  • Ability to deal with multiple parallel activities and priorities

  • A high-energy team player
