Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide Operational Resilience risk management oversight and buildout of the firm’s operational resilience coverage in the hub. (Risk Identification, measurements, management ect). This includes understanding of upstream and downstream impacts that Poland activities have on the delivery of the critical business services at State Street.
  • Provide on the ground presence to support the Operational resilience risk oversight.
  • Promote and support a culture of effective challenge as well as driving an Operational resilience risk culture in the Hub.
  • Maintain the highest standards of conduct and integrity and ensure compliance with accepted industry practice, company policies, statute and regulatory requirements, and hold team members accountbale do the same. Meeting regional regulatory expectations on Op Resilience and Op Risk management.
  • Maintain strong local regulator and external perceptions (including clients) of STTs Op resilience and Op risk management capabilities across Hub/EMEA.
  • Identify and map critical activities to enhance risk transparency and support local ERM to coordinate op risk and op resilience risk management in Governance.
  • Actively engage in the ERM initiatives and Operational Resilience team and
  • Provide support and resilience feedback from the perspective of the Polish hub
  • Work in close alignment to Global Delivery and ORM to support their risk management and provide an Operational Resilience lense for the hub when feeding the various governance streams.
  • Read and familiarize with the Operational resilience Discussion Paper/Consultation Paper on operational resilience published by the PRA/FCA and extract key takeaways for the hub to implement local resilience initiatives where required.
  • Participate in meetings with Clients and Regulators when required and provide updates

 

Required Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate would come from a financial services background, should be articulate, well presented and comfortable around senior management with direct experience of risk committees.
  • Possesses awareness of the pillars of a risk framework and is confident in delivering a well evidenced and aggregated resilience risk opinion with particular focus on cross functional risks.
  • Possesses good understanding or have built experience in Business Continuity areas.
  • Analytical skills: the candidate should be able to take a step back from the available data and look holistically at the risks impacting the service delivery with the ability to “connect the dots” and form an articulated resilience risk opinion.
  • Experience in conducting proactive and reactive risk reviews in the context of an end to end service delivery.
  • The candidate should master power point presentations and be able consolidate key risk messages for senior management and board levels.
  • Experience in improving 1st line risk culture a benefit.
  • Understanding how to organise and link data in databases an advantage.
