Position Description:

 

Poland DataGX team is seeking an experienced individual with business architecture, workflow design, system flows and data analysis expertise to create client solutions and execute implementation of the industry’s first front-to-back client servicing platform – State Street’s AlphaSM.

The ideal candidate will possess skills in software development, data analysis, experience in functional requirements gathering and documenting, good verbal, written, and presentation skills, an ability to liaise between business/implementation and technology teams, and good collaboration skills. The successful candidate must be skilled in analyzing complex business models and flows across front/middle/back office operating models, understands financial, statistical and business concepts. This role is part of broader GX Data Solutions implementation team based in Poland and candidate will have an opportunity to work closely with implementation leads in London, Frankfurt or Boston.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop ETL solutions within the Alpha platform with detailed analysis, testing, and documentation, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions.
  • Work closely with Development team on building efficient data models and technical requirement that meet product/client requirements
  • Become a product and platform SME on the State Street Alpha and DataGX platforms to perform subject matter expert activities, consultancy, implementation and configuration.
  • Drive workflow analysis, data analysis, requirements analysis for current and future state models and architecture.
  • Support on-going enhancements to scope of services for existing clients as needed.
  • Support live products and clients by troubleshooting and resolving issues reported by business users.
  • Work as a member of a global team – provide status, communicate issues, share ideas, and follow process for analysis, development and support protocols.

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Finance, Business or equivalent.
  • Typically 5 – 7 years of industry experience across Financial Services, IT or Data domains.
  • Strong SQL skills, including SQL server (TSQL) scripting. Experience in the ETL domain particularly relevant.
  • Strong experience with complex technologies that relate to product development and implementation, data services and client interaction.
  • Experience in designing and implementing relational data models for a variety of data sets which include audit, time series, complex relationships, and high-volume.
  • Experience and understanding of system performance and profiling techniques of complex data model for storage and consumption.
  • Expertise with Attunity Compose, Pentaho/Kettle, Power BI, Crystal Reports or equivalent will be considered a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodology and tools (i.e. JIRA, Rally, RTC) preferred.
  • Solutions/client service orientation with focus and desire to deliver high quality client solutions.
  • Analytical and planning skills, attention to details.
  • Knowledge of financial and statistical concepts, global capital markets and investment management.
  • Good communication skills – both verbal and written.
