The PwC Global Mobility (GM) function looks after the International Mobility Program for our staff including Short-Term and Long-Term Assignments, and Permanent Transfers within the global Network of PwC firms. GM is part of Human Capital (HC).

This role will be based in Warsaw, Poland or Prague, Czech Republic with geographical responsibility for the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region which consists of 29 countries. The CEE GM is a team of 11 people based in Prague, Warsaw and Moscow and the Global Mobility Leader (GML) reports into the CEE HC Performance Pillar Leader based in Warsaw.

Role:

  • Lead and coach a well-established virtual team. Provide guidance and direction to the CEE GM team to ensure operational effectiveness. Run regular team calls and meetings, and manage the GM budget and headcount.

  • Set up CEE GM strategy in alignment with the CEE business and HC strategy, as well as with the GM strategy of the global PwC Network.

  • Be a trusted advisor to the business leaders, apply influencing skills and seek consensus. Use reasonable judgement in decisions on exceptions to policies while striving for consistency and compliance with legislation.

  • Work closely with CEE HC stakeholders, such as Recruitment, Talent Management, and Performance and Reward Management leaders, to ensure that common goals are achieved via mutual collaboration. Build relationships with other key contacts, such as Tax and Finance leaders.

  • Manage priority CEE GM projects and participate in the global ones. Cooperate with other GMLs and the Network Mobility Center of Excellence on strategic Network initiatives.

  • Develop and own the CEE GM policy in line with the global GM policy. 

  • Set up complex cross-border employment structures and consult with subject matter experts and local territory contacts where necessary.

 

Profile:

  • Minimum 7 years of working experience in expatriate management, ideally in various cross-border areas such as immigration, international tax, social security, relocation and HR

  • Experience with managing people, ideally in a virtual team

  • Team player able to train, coach and motivate others

  • Fluency in English, oral and written

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably within HR Management, Psychology or similar

  • Solid command of G Suite (especially Google Sheets and Slides) or MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, especially across various cultures

  • Client oriented with ability to apply assertiveness where appropriate 

  • Strong drive and time management, ability to decide and prioritize independently

  • Analytical mindset with ability to identify areas for improvement and come up with solutions

  • Ability to look at things from a broad and strategic perspective
