Purpose of Role:
You’ll be joining the GAO team in Financial Shared Service Center Cracow (Poland), which provides a wide range of accounting services to multiple State Street Bank locations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work Performance
o Perform accounting activities that may include [but are not limited to]: employee & invoice expense processing, vendor & employee queries, payment preparation and monitoring, scanning, archiving, specific month-end close tasks,
o Suggest and implement effective processes to enhance and improve daily work;
o Maintain standards of personal and professional performance/behavior ensuring accountability and adherence to company policies and procedures;
o Monitor and confirm to direct manager completeness of daily tasks delivery at the end of each business day;
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
o At least 1 year of professional experience in accounting area;
o Knowledge of accounting principles and practices;
o An ability to adhere to multiple deadlines, with good time management and the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment;
o A willingness to take ownership of problems and an ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels;
o Practical knowledge of ERP system (Oracle) and Excel skill-set;
o Advance Language skills, written and verbal in English,
o Attention to details is crucial.
