job description:
- Prepare VAT returns and related VAT compliance fillings as applicable for selected EMEA countries
- Responsible for review of VAT returns & VAT accounts reconciliations for selected EMEA countries
- Preparation of reconciliations and clean-up of VAT accounts on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis, as deemed applicable
- Collaborate with different parties (Accounts Payable & Receivable, Indirect Tax) to ensure VAT entries are accurate and correct in GL
- Ensure VAT compliance processes are up to date in accordance with country regulation
- Provide input and assistance to VAT Manager in VAT compliance processes for the EMEA region and ad-hoc activities
- Support with internal (as part of the group audit) and external VAT audits
our expectations:
- Master or Bachelor degree (preferred: economics, finance and accounting),
- Some professional experience in Finance or Accounting (working in Shared Service environment or Big4 would be an asset)
- Basic knowledge of VAT principles (especially in EU)
- Some knowledge of accounting and auditing principles
- Fluent in English
- Familiar with SAP system as well as excellent Excel skills
- Curiosity and desire to solve problems and report on conclusions/outcomes
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-border teams
- Strong commitment to meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to develop new skills and take initiative
