What you’ll do:
  • The primary role of the Product Owner of Agile Tools is to drive the vision for Amway’s core set of agile tools (Jira/Confluence, GitHub Enterprise, Slack, and Mural). This includes maintaining impact maps, journey maps, and roadmaps for all products.
  • The Product Owner works with application specialists and developers to translate business needs into a rolling, groomed backlog that ensures delivery of capabilities that support and progress Amway’s agile practices.
  • Serve as the voice of the consumer (i.e., agile teams) to development teams enhancing and supporting Amway these platforms.
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on the intersection between Amway’s agile framework and related configuration in agile tools.
  • Facilitate testing, demos, releases, and iterative value delivery with the user base.
What you’ll need:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience preferred  
  • 5+ years experience as a Product Manager and/or solution engineer for enterprise-scale applications (preferably, dev tools)
  • Strong experience in agile operations (both scrum and Kanban)
  • Prior DevOps experience preferred
  • Experience in agile tools a plus (Jira/Confluence, GitHub Enterprise, Slack or Mural)
  • Demonstrable subject matter expertise and systems background in one or more business domains, primarily in agile/information technology
  • Some experience with software development
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Ability to learn a new business domain and build subject matter expertise in a short period.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills with a demonstrated track record of devising novel solutions to complex problems
  • Well-developed problem solving, analytical, oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Equally adept at speaking in technical or business contexts
  • High empathy and demonstrated ability to establish high trust with colleagues
  • Strong facilitation skills for working with stakeholders, with emphasis on identifying value opportunities in complex operational/technical landscapes, driving towards consensus and a demonstrated ability to ‘sell the vision’
  • Prior experience serving in a team leadership capacity (formal or informal)
