Programme Manager in Financial Crime Consulting

 

The Role:

  • Independently lead and manage big-scale client engagements - provide management and strategic direction to multiple project teams and hold responsibility for the project development, budget and schedule.

  • Build partnership with C-level stakeholders, understand complex Client requirements and manage development of meaningful recommendations, proposals, solutions and ideas that add value and answer Client needs

  • Manage all aspects of programme and project management from discovery through delivery implementation, including identifying key project risks across multiple areas and managing to ensure the delivery of business goals

  • Strategic planning and programme management, including resource modelling and driving of strategic mindset in the team

  • Continued learning and development in the subject matter of Financial Crime Compliance, e.g. understanding the impact of changes to regulations, forming a perspective on how institutions respond, what constitutes ‘best practice’ in relation to policies, operating models, technology, etc.

  • Drive cooperation within the global PwC network, e.g. build and leverage a collaborative network with other PwC member firms in order to share knowledge and provide a truly global perspective for our Clients.

  • Invest in the development of others through mentoring and coaching, e.g. recognise others’ strengths and development areas, and help them to realise their full potential in a positive and supportive environment.

  • This role is available in our offices in Gdańsk or Warsaw although there is also opportunity for both domestic and international travel, subject to the Client engagement.

 

Candidate's profile:

  • Previous experience (8+ years) in a leading consulting firm/financial institutions/business process service provider, preferably within the field of Financial Crime Compliance

  • Significant experience of having operated in a senior programme delivery role

  • In-depth understanding of the financial services industry (e.g. business and operating models, products and services; culture and communication style).

  • Ability to understand client and project dynamics and be able to adopt the style and priorities to meet individual demands.

  • Expert skills in driving cooperation with multiple C-level stakeholders, experience of building business cases, excellent presentation and report writing skills.

  • A strong high-level perspective understanding of process related activities, i.e. building target operating models, establishing & optimizing processes, deploying automated solutions, designing and implementing operational tools.

  • Experience in managing big-scale projects and cross-functional teams, engaging key stakeholders to provide frequent status updates with the ability to resolve or appropriately escalate issues.

  • Proficient knowledge of project management methodologies

  • A data-driven mindset as well as awareness and understanding of the advantages offered by technology solutions.

  • Resilience and ability to operate in a highly dynamic environment, against tight deadlines and to frequently changing requirements

  • Previous experience in regulatory/AML remediation projects will be considered as an asset for this role.

  • Excellent ability to navigate a highly multicultural and international business environment along with a willingness to travel

  • The candidate must be fluent in English and additional languages skills will be viewed as a further asset for this role.
