The Senior Low Code Developer OutSystems is a member of the Digital Enablement (DE) product team. The team currently owns the OutSystems platform as the low code application development platform of choice on the global company level. The Digital Enablement product team is the central team that is responsible for the overall governance and adoption of the platform, security and maintenance, and developing global solutions and the implementation of strategic B2B and B2C web and mobile applications for HEINEKEN. Next to the central DE team, the organisation is growing the adoption of the platform with federated OutSystems development teams globally placed in different Heineken operational companies.

As a member of the DE team your primary task will be development of OutSystems applications and helping to grow the platform. Since the product team is responsible for the platform, your secondary concern will be the functional support of the overall platform, which includes functionalities like security, common components, CI/CD pipeline and automated testing. Ultimately, as an experienced developer you will often need to provide expert advice and operational guidance for local and regional federated OutSystems development teams across the globe.

The product teams in Heineken D&T are structured and empowered by the organization to organize and manage their own work. All D&T product teams work in a setup according to agile framework and scrum methodology.

Your responsibilities would include:

• proactively communicating and collaborating with external/internal business stakeholders to produce the functional requirements for new OutSystems applications
• translating the functional requirements for the new OutSystems applications into the technical design and providing adequate documentation
• developing applications based on Minimal Viable Product (MVP) approach, including all aspects of development from incorporating UX, implementing UI, security and testing
• continuous improvement of the digital enablement platform by innovation and introducing new features and functionalities to the platform
• integrate applications with other global solutions and the HEINEKEN data lake
• implementing production grade code and acting as the subject matter expert for OutSystems code implementation across the company
• helping federated by advising on solution approach, conducting code reviews and helping the remote teams with their own development work
• enable self-service as much as possible for federated teams
• setting up and continuously improving OutSystems development standards and shared library codebase
• supporting and coaching junior and federated team developers
• participating in all the team agile ceremonies: daily scrum meeting, sprint planning, refinement and retrospective

You are a good Candidate if:

• you have Bachelor/Master’s degree, preferably in technical field
• you have OutSystems Certifications
• you have a proven track record in software development (minimum of 10+ years), with at least 6 year of experience with OutSystems preferably in the area of B2B and B2C
• you have hands-on experience and proficiency with modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) and mobile app development
• you have experience with web services (SOAP & REST)
• you have experience with data modelling and database design
• you have experience of working in an Agile environment (scrum) with rapid release cycles
• you have excellent presentation and analysing skills
• you have excellent written and verbal English
