The main responsibility of the Trade Finance - Bank Guarantees Specialist is to provide support and services to Country Local Treasury Organization in migrated countries in the area of Trade Finance instruments by handling and processing Bank Guarantees, Counter-Guarantees, Import and Export Letters of Credit and other activities related to life cycle of these Trade Finance instruments according to the Service Level Agreement. This position reports to Head of Treasury.

Your responsibilities

• Processing of full life cycle of bank guarantee and counter- guarantee
• Checking quality and completeness of application form
• Reviewing Guarantee wording
• Clarifying any discrepancies, drive for standardization
• Checking incoming bank notification messages (over Bolero)
• Liaising with ABB branches to complete the guarantee application form
• Liaising with issuing banks to drive efficiency and speed of the process
• Regular reviewing and monitoring of existing portfolio of guarantees

Your background

• 2-5 years’ of experience in administration and handling of Trade Finance instruments
• Sound knowledge and usage experience of URDG, UCP
• Solid user and knowledge of Windows applications
• Good communication skills and experience in daily contacts with third parties
• Good presentation skills
• University degree in Finance, Banking, Treasury Management, Economics or relevant
• Fluent English (oral and written); Good knowledge of German/ French/Spanish/Italian, would be an asset
