The opportunity

Our Corporate Business Services (CBS) are going at regional level ( CESA= 31 countries) through re-design and strengthening of Target Operating Model enabling them to deliver on their corporate strategy, achieve cost and performance efficiencies, help to streamline regional and global functions and identify and capture growth opportunities for the future.

We are currently seeking to hire into our CBS operations – Chief Digital & Data Officer
 

Your key responsibilities

Chief Digital & Data Officer, you'll work as a Leader, as part of a Regional CESA high-performing operations with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping CBS operation organizations deliver end to end data governance and roadmap standardization, improvement and holistic ownership of digital transformation journey within CBS. On a typical day, you will have the opportunity to:

 

 

  • Design and Execute a business driven CBS digital & data strategy
  • Create digitization and digitalization plans for CBS Operations
  • Own and run the data journey with automation, analytics to respective scale of digitalization and AI
  • Plan to improve data quality and governance (aligned where appropriate to overall Data & Digital Agenda)
  • Enhance internal data assets and curate external (not client) data to help make better business decisions, optimize our activity in the market and improve operations towards Digital
  • Establish a CBS ‘Data Network’, aligned to overall ‘Data Office’ in EMEIA region with clear remit, roles and responsibilities
  • Understand, recommend and execute the models for data warehousing, cloud solutions and others
  • Detailed Digital and Data Operate Model to be designed as part of CBS Target Operating Model for CESA Operations
  • Work hand in hand with Operation Excellence & Regional Process Offices
  • Be the Liaison to Enterprise Technology, Business Technology and Technology Sourcing at CESA regional level
  • Capitalize on synergies with Vision 2020+ Commercializing EY’s data Agenda initiative – leverage activity to reduce ‘cost’ of internal program
  • Drive integrated firm-wide data rules and controls
  • Create insights that focus on improving our internal operations and optimizing our activity in the market

 

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong understanding of core business operations gained through involvement/ delivery of projects across areas such as strategy, data model design, data improvement, digital design transformation and delivery
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability including logical reasoning, creative thinking and the ability to untangle complex issues
  • Exceptional quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing in Executive forums/vorums
  • A solid team player who’s also an independent thinker
  • Deadline-driven, highly organized and able to multitask

To qualify for the role you ideally will have

  • Experience in Navigating in large and complex, international matrix structures
  • Experience in Managing cross-function/cross-department projects and initiatives
  • Ability to work and communicate with high-level, c-suite stakeholders
  • Ability to translate business/industry requirements/objectives into efficient processes is a must
  • Strong academic record including a relevant degree from Top University
  • International Experience is a strong plus
  • Chief Data Leader prior experience is a plus
  • Strong Digital and Automation background with a track record of implementing results
  • Proven Microsoft Office experience
  • Experience in applying digital models and solutions
  • Lean Design experience - preferred
  • Management Consulting experience a benefit
