Shared Services Technology (SST) delivers innovative, best in class shared solutions to BNY Mellon’s clients and businesses. Our platforms, frameworks, and operational business services accelerate delivery and elevate the Bank’s business capabilities. Shared services are usable by everyone and offer economy, simplicity, and consistency across the enterprise.
 
We own an Engineering as a Service function that takes on engineering projects as internal consultants "for hire" on behalf of capacity-constrained line of business tech teams.
 
We are leading the Agile DevOps transformation for the Bank, defining a new way of working between Tech and Ops, and driving full-scale adoption of DevOps by our technologists.
 
We also own the Tech and Ops Unification strategy and execution to drive synergies and amplify the co-development of solutions that make the Bank more efficient.

Integrated Delivery Team Model – how we work?
• Team will be involved in delivery of new solutions / systems (green field development) identified by business’ clients as critical (across all departments) with a maximum 6 months delivery cycle to ensure team gets exposure to other projects/areas - high impact delivery in a fixed timeframe.
• Team will operate as a “feature team” – all responsibilities will fall within the team to deliver front-to-back solution with help provided from outside when delivery obstacles are encountered.
• Promoting and utilizing an Agile SCRUM framework to allow for incremental development of new components, systems will be a key feature.
• The team will be focused on delivering solutions/product, embracing feedback from customers at all stages of the process and looking to review working practices on a regular basis to utilize best in class standards and software toolsets. Collaboration with other teams and continuous learning will be a critical part of the team’s culture.
• Solutions to be delivered will follow Microservices architecture principles.
• All members will strive for excellence in order to deliver best quality products (DoD, code reviews, test-driven development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment).

Your role
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Engineering Services Pod to join our team in Wroclaw.

This newly created role is aimed at providing support to Technical Teams by managing periodic corporate requests, ensuring compliance with company’s regulations and raising/managing a magnitude of requests that enable development teams deliver the product in line with the highest of project delivery standards.

As a successful candidate you will be given opportunity to acquire and develop knowledge from related fields:
•    Capacity planning activities.
•    Production release activities planning, including coordination with the Business Teams.
•    Coordination of DR (Disaster Recovery) and weekend activities (e.g. patching) planning.
•    Vulnerabilities review and remediation (raising tickets for TSG and Database Teams, communication with Application Team etc.).
•    Management of support rota and escalations.
•    Assisting in yearly audit reviews and production access reviews (IAM).
•    Attending technology infrastructure meetings and coordination of related activities, management of pre-CAB approvals.
•    Management of technical administrative tasks, yearly reviews.
•    Assisting in maintaining project documentation for production support, attending relevant project calls to provide technical update on progress.

•    We are looking for an extremely organized and dynamic person who will be helping our Technical Leads in remaining compliant with all business administration, compliance & regulatory, risk and technical aspects of the project.
•    An individual who will be able to keep on top of multiple requests and periodic processes that often involve coordination of efforts between various teams.
•    A person who will be able to communicate professionally and effectively with groups at various organizational levels.
•    An individual willing to expand or shift in their role with time and gained experience.

Required skills:
•    Great level of business coordination – ability to manage multiple requests and work-streams simultaneously.
•    Attention to detail.
•    Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with both business and technology teams at various levels of the organization in English.
Preferable Skills:
•    Any level of technical experience will be an asset – often conversations and elements requiring coordination will be focused on technological aspects. Understanding of those will enable the person to communicate and manage items more effectively.
