The Global Delivery Centre in Wroclaw is a growing location, predominately providing support services to BNY Mellon entities in the areas of fund accounting and investment operations.

Your role

The CEU Lead representative has responsibility for ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and calculation of all areas of Centralised Expense processes. He/she is responsible for checking all work completed by the administrators on the team and ensuring that all BNY Mellon standard procedures and controls are fully complied with.

The desired candidate should be enthusiastic, attentive to detail, flexible and have the drive to be successful while working in a dynamic and challenging environment. The candidate will need both strong communication and time management skills. He/She should be a team player, focused on consistently achieving both team and company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Review of budget files as per agreed procedures.
  • Monitoring Total Expense Ratio movement and investigating any exceptions.
  • Review of payment and adjustment files.
  • Preparation and review of reporting for both the Client and other Departments on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to be provided to the Lead Analyst for review in a timely fashion.
  • Review of payment instruction.
  • Investigating any expense related cash breaks.
  • Maintaining checklists and procedure document making sure they are fully updated and signed off.
  • Ensure all queries from auditors or fund accounting staff are accurately and fully responded to with minimum delay.
  • Ensure BNY Mellon and client standard procedures and controls are being adhered to on a daily basis.
  • Communicate any significant operational issues that arise to the Lead Analyst in a timely fashion.
  • Act as the primary contact for client's on operational and client servicing issues.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor to staff, with the goal to developing personnel on a career path.
  • Monitoring staff development against their development objectives, serving as a resource to staff and providing adequate training as appropriate.
  • Tone from the Top - Work collaboratively and on a timely basis with managers to review operational controls, conduct root-cause analysis and implement remediation activities emanating from operating incidents and near-miss events.
  • Risk Competence & Knowledge - Understand the key operational risks and the associated controls applicable to the Business Unit and follow all Business Unit operational procedures and other directive controls (eg. checklists) as designed.
  • Any identified issues or changes should be escalated to Managers.
  • Accountability - Ensure that risk issues (both current and emerging) are escalated promptly to managers, including:
    • Gaps or issues identified within the Business Unit controls;
    • Errors or potential errors/near-misses;
    • Other risk issues (including non-responses to queries, manual process intervention)
