Your responsibilities

• Conduct complex regulatory analysis and comparative research related to international energy, climate change and sustainability topics, with a focus on the European Union;

• Develop policy analyses, prepare persuasive position letters, comments and arguments as well as engage in the policy impact assessment and legislative drafting;

• Assist with the global deployment of the Firm’s regulatory sustainability regulatory offering by developing thought leadership materials, decks, presentations and proposals;

• Manage the team and engage directly with the clients depending on your seniority;

• Work on international assignments in cross-cultural setting.

Our requirements

• Interest in and familiarity with the European Union Green Deal;

• Degree of expertise adequate to your seniority in at least two of the following topics: energy law and policy, energy markets, climate change law, international environmental law, sustainability taxes, circular economy, sustainable finance, corporate social responsibility, international climate policies (in particular under UNCCC)

• Perfect English language skills; other foreign languages would be a significant plus

• Detail-oriented, analytical and inquisitive

• Passion for learning

• Background in law or the economics or a related field

• 1-5 years of professional experience

The opportunity:

This is a unique opportunity to join our growing Climate, Energy and Sustainability Regulatory practice and work on international assignments related to global challenges around these topics. You can choose to focus on the activities of the EU Green Deal Center of Excellence or the Center for Climate Policy, or split your work between both.
