Location: Kraków

Who we are looking for

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) is one of the largest global asset managers and the only one with an Investment Centre in Poland.  Poland Investment Centre (Poland Hub) has a variety of functions including portfolio management, research, operations, client service, risk, legal & compliance. It is continually growing with a significant diversity of roles and opportunities. 

This role is part of the Poland Hub Administration team which supports hub senior management and leads administration activities, initiatives and projects for the hub.  This role will be an individual contributor in nature, with enhanced exposure with global locations, who would work closely with peers, local management, and business leads.

 

What we will ask you to do

  • Take the lead and end to end ownership in managing work related to supporting senior management in producing executive content and key business initiatives
  • Cooperate effectively with respective partners to obtain required input and make valuable contributions through a critical review to support decision making
  • Manage independently assigned work streams, tasks or projects in the business administration area resulting from executing Poland  Hub strategy; build required business cases aimed at addressing challenges
  • Coordinate existing local processes resulting from business needs (e.g. critical metric tracking, internal governance, business projects, new hire onboarding.)
  • Implement new solutions based on the identified business needs. Provides consultancy and advisory role for the key stakeholders in these areas.
  • Actively looks for commonalities between processes and functions with aim to streamline and optimize them and to ensure that they are adding value and meeting business expectations
  • Upholds a strict level of confidentiality
  • Represents Poland in the identified forums, networks or work streams on local or global level
  • Coordinates executive communications, including hosting calls and following up with minutes
  • Schedules meetings, appointments and handles travel/business visits itineraries, as required
  • Develops and sustains a level of integrity among staff and clientele

 

What we value

  • Relevant professional experience in Administration or Business functions;
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent
  • PC literacy including MS Office (focus on PowerPoint and Excel), Outlook,
  • Project Management methodology considered an asset but not required
  • Experience: 3-5 years. Experience in Finance industry or Management-Consulting industry preferred
  • The candidate should possess excellent communication, decision-making and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data from multiple sources
  • Ability to visualize data (knowing how to present data in charts and graphs to tell a story)
