GIS/Geospatial Consultant
As a GIS Consultant you will be tasked with advising in developing geospatial solutions, providing analytical insights for our clients based on geospatial technologies and/or various applications (SQL Server, PostGIS, ESRI, OpenSource GIS). You will be part of international project teams for projects of different scales.
You will help the team to build and manage PwC’s geospatial databases and develop new solutions and tools for advanced geospatial data analytics.
It is expected that you will grow professional expertise through seeking knowledge, skills and hands-on experience in Geospatial analysis and technology (through on the job learning, external events, conferences and training) as well as share your acquired knowledge with other staff.
Candidate’s profile:

Min. 2-3 years of relevant experience working in geospatial domain.

Knowledge of spatial technologies, spatial data and/or spatial information systems.

Higher degree (Geoinformatics, Geography, Geodesy & Cartography, Computer Science, or related).
-
Interest in geospatial data analytics, willingness to learn new tools and solutions, highly motivated to achieve established goals.

Out of the box thinking and converting the ideas into proposed innovative solutions.
Must Have:
-
Knowledge of ESRI software and solutions (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, working with ESRI extensions).

Intermediate knowledge of SQL in order to effectively use database engines for structured data.

Very good command of the English language as well as interpersonal and communication skills (min. B2, C1 preferable) - essential in day-to-day cooperation with clients and the team.

Experience with analysis of geospatial datasets or developing solutions related to geospatial data.

Experience in effective visualization techniques and tools.
Nice to Have:
-
QGIS knowledge.

Ability to automate processes and scripting - Knowledge of related programming language - preferably Python.

Project and delivery management experience.

PostgreSQL/PosGIS knowledge.
-
ESRI technical certification.

Working with tabular data and ability to effectively manipulate it (e.g. MS Excel).
