Your role

We’re looking for a Tech Engineer to:
• become part of the Data Protection family and secure most valuable assets,
• stay on guard of secure infrastructure as well as production stability and performance,
• help in maintaining data encryption in a living environment,
• support internal clients in implementing data encryption,
• take care of compliance with the highest cryptography standards.
Your team
You’ll be working in the Secure Key Management team in Kraków or Wrocław, Poland. Our role is to design, engineer, deploy and maintain global solutions for securing encryption keys within UBS. We help by consulting on encryption topics, constantly challenging the status quo and providing a secure environment for our business divisions. As a Tech Engineer, you’ll play an important role in safeguarding and managing digital keys.
Your expertise
• degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience,
• ideally 3 years of hands-on experience with cybersecurity,
• experience with data encryption standards and solutions, preferably including hardware security modules,
• proficiency in administration of Unix-like operating systems,
• good understanding of software development lifecycle,
• experience with software development tools like GitLab, Azure DevOps etc.,
• knowledge of infrastructure components, such as load balancers, firewalls, databases, system logging, monitoring and alerting,
• ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking,
• confident communicator that can explain technology to non-technical audiences,
• capable of understanding client needs and translating this into products and services,
• Nice to have: programming skills in Python.
