You will be accountable for aggregating/leveraging third party spend, developing and executing sourcing strategy to optimize Shell’s buying power and reduce overall 3rd party expenditures. As a Commercial Lead, you will ensure that sourcing strategy is in line with Business/Function priorities through regular engagement with key business stakeholders and suppliers, in order to achieve annual integrated cost improvement targets. Your responsibility would be to manage tail spend by working closely with Category Management Team and maximise value on operational and tactical contracts.

Accountability:

Your will work closely with Category Management team and key stakeholders within the Downstream Sectors and Decarbonisation business in North and Latin America to execute Category Management commercial work plans and deliver substantial value to Shell Businesses by:

• Develop and execute fit-for-purpose commercial strategies and work plan for Operational and Tactical spend, aligned with recommended guidelines, Business and Category Management strategies.

• Utilize market knowledge and business driver to develop and execute commercial strategies

• Provide strong commercial influence with optimizing demand and specifications

• Manage tail end spend initiatives and drive supplier rationalization

• Identify, develop and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities to streamline and improve performance

• Ensure compliance to all HSSE, Ethics & Compliance and Shell Control Framework requirements in the CP process

• Create a deeper business partnership within the scope of the role focused on delivering maximum business value

• Embrace digitalization initiatives within Contracting & Procurement

• Develop, tender and negotiate contracts in line with business demand

• Maximise value within the tactical and operational contracts by spend consolidation and implementation of Enterprise Framework Agreements

*Work Hours & Holidays – The daily work pattern will match asset/project working hours. Candidates are expected to work on mid-shift at least 2 days a week for a premium salary.

Requirements:

• Approximately 3 years+ of professional experience including procurement activities, sourcing and contracting negotiations

• Fluent English (C1) and Spanish

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in any Commercial Discipline, including Law, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain/CP, Business Management

• Ability to make decisions even under circumstances of ambiguity of information without full picture known

• Ability to engage stakeholders, manage and influence business decisions

• Experience in working with Logistics and Warehousing project/contracts is a plus

• Good organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities

• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently

• Very good commercial sense and understanding or exposure to procurement and legal contracts

• Strong communication skill

• Ability to extract, analyse and utilize data to value

• Familiarity with SAP Ariba, SAP or the Request to Pay (RTP) process
