In pursuing this objective, the investment strategy and approach to credit selection are based on intensive fundamental research and credit analysis, combined with active portfolio management to minimize credit losses.

The Alcentra Direct Lending Operations and Fund Accounting team are looking for an experienced and highly motivated fund accountant to join the team.  The scope of the role is broad and will be suitable to someone who wants to build on their fund accounting and/or fund control experience and contribute towards the continued growth of the strategy. The successful applicant will primarily be involved with fund accounting activities on the core fund LP/GP structures but there is also the opportunity for involvement in the wide range of other activities that the Direct Lending Operations team is responsible for.

Working with us, you will be responsible for:

The successful applicant will be joining a team, which is integral to continued success of the Direct Lending strategy. Applicants should be a team player, have a pro-active mindset and the ability to manage multiple workflows whilst contributing to a positive culture within the team. 

The role is responsible for a portfolio of funds and the key requirements for these funds will be:

  • Managing the Quarterly Reporting Cycle for a portfolio of funds. Delivery of relevant and accurate information to investors on a timely basis is a core requirement of this role :
  • Working with Fund Administrators & AIFM towards meeting each of the agreed reporting deadlines and ad hoc deliverables for investors and other stakeholders.
  • Quarterly NAV file preparation for a portfolio of funds.  Primarily for LP / GP and master feeder structures. 
  • Investigate and resolve all discrepancies and reconciling differences with the administrator’s files.
  • Review Financial Statements (Lux GAAP, UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS) and Capital Statements (ILPA) ahead of distribution to investors.
  • Calculation and review of fund management and performance fees/carried interest.
  • Prepare fund-by-fund KPI and performance analysis including IRR’s, MOIC, TER.
  • Preparation of regulatory reporting as required by the funds.
  • Fund Liquidity and Fund Control: In addition to the quarterly reporting cycle, the role will also involve:
  • Managing fund liquidity through cash management & Capital Calls / Distributions.
  • Maintenance of the portfolio management system – Wall Street Office.
  • Review of Fund Docs (LPA, IMA, side letters etc).
  • Supporting Deal Closing/Settlement team to ensure the Deals close on time

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Fund Accounting Background in Private Credit.
  • Experience with LP / GP structures and/or Master Feeder structures.
  • Minimum of a 2.1 (or equivalent) at degree level & ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a fund accountant on either LP / GP structures.
  • Demonstrate strong excel and communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple workflows .

  • Flexible approach towards office / hybrid work arrangement (3 days minimum in-office)
