Depositary Fund Accounting Department is part of BSO global domain of BNP Paribas providing fiduciary services mainly to institutional clients. Our main goal is to produce fully independent NAV serving as a reference for verification of fund prices submitted to by Fund Administrators. Broad set of possible investments, that can be held in portfolio of our clients, creates perfect condition for getting familiar with all sorts of financial instruments and market practices. Along with improving accounting skills and balance sheet understanding, employees interact with nearly all market players, building their great understanding on how financial markets operate in practice.  

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of fund accounting operational processes, procedures and services
  • Understanding of bookkeeping principles, obtaining fund accounting skills
  • Thorough comprehension of various types of investments (equities, bonds, listed and OTC derivatives, corporate events)
  • Advanced numeric skills and strong attention to details
  • Passion for and ability to perform in depths analyses to take decisions based on them
  • Responsibility and confidence in contact with external parties
  • Solid communication skills including fluency in English & Italian
  • Experience within funds' migration processes
  • Extraordinary client focus approach
  • Ability to go beyond existing frameworks by identifying new ideas to bring innovative solutions for the client

Responsibilites:

As a member of BCM Team of BNP Paribas Securities Services your main responsibilities will be:

  • To work on funds setup and static data maintenance (creation of new funds in MFFA/LHS/Firefly/INM, etc. along with having control on amendments in this area)
  • To process/support another event types as: merger, segmentation, AM change, closing, etc. in relevant systems together with keeping informed impacted parties on all performed changes
  • To conduct migrations (IN & OUT) between the former Custodian, Client and Relationship Management
  • To act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for former Custodian, Relationship Management, Migration Teams, Management Companies, etc.
  • To agree and to coordinate event dates with all parties involved
  • To process pre-checks prior to activities involving Migration Team and the Business Implementation Team in legacy locations
  • To check if all securities have been sent to the market and to monitor its settlement
  • To monitor and to follow-up cooperation with responsible cash team that the cash transfers have been processed
  • To inform all affected stakeholders in case of any issues which could lead to a delay of event
  • To capture KPIs on a regular base
  • To reply to clients' queries via telephone/e-mail in a timely manner (within 24 hours)
