Team Description; Role function on team:

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of ‘Lead Analyst, Reconciliation Center of Excellence’ to join our Exchange Traded Derivatives Team.

Our team primary focus is on supporting reconciliation migrations, where we strive to enhance efficiency by streamlining and automating the process. We asses and analyse existing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategic enhancements to the reconciliation processes across various locations and teams

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Responsible for the completion of in-depth data analysis of reconciliations and leading process improvement and standardization projects. Identifies trends, provides complex root cause analysis and executes on recommendations.
  • Develops configuration using reconciliation strategic platforms to improve efficiency and standardize process,
  • Deciphers complex exceptions of the data between internal and external systems, including but not limited to accounting and custody positional & transactional movements as well as performing root-cause analysis on why the differences exist.
  • Serves as an escalation point for more junior members of the team. May assign the workload and monitor timeliness and accuracy of its completion.
  • Supports the team Manager with successful management of the team and delivering of department strategy.
  • May serve as a team supervisor for the day-to-day operations of a small to medium sized Reconciliation team, reviewing daily tasks of the team as well as overseeing work direction and technical assistance on complex matters. Provides guidance to less experienced staff
  • Conducts reviews and oversees technical testing and the implementation of reconciliation software.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills (spoken and written English min. B2/C1 level).
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum of 3 years of experience within similar area). Previous work experience in FA or Reconciliation is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of the different securities available in the market – bonds, equities, derivatives – as well as various market events (e.g. corporate actions).
  • Proficiency in use of MS Excel (pivots, formulas, etc.) with the ability to quickly learn other applications. Knowledge of SQL would be an asset.
  • Analytical skills with a proven track record of working with comprehensive financial/numerical data. Experience working with large and complex databases and an ability to understand how they function/interact will be preferred.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to handle high volumes with tight deadlines.
