We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Fund/Client Accounting to join our Fund Accounting team. The area of business focuses on preparing and calculating accurate Net Asset Values (NAVs) across all funds in accordance with BNY Mellon standard operating procedures, providing services to all clients and ensuring that client concerns/requests are addressed as soon as possible and within an agreed timetable. This role is located in Wrocław and is hybrid.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Performing the final check and review of fund valuation processes
  • Monitoring the daily/monthly production schedule to ensure that valuations are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Serving as the primary dedicated contact for the client on operational and client servicing issues
  • Ensuring client concerns/requests are addressed as soon as possible and within an agreed timetable
  • Ensuring BNY Mellon and client standard procedures and controls are being adhered to on a daily basis by all staff under management
  • Ensuring fund supervisors maintain daily/monthly files in a manner suitable for future review by the fund and internal auditors
  • Communicating new procedures and processes to all relevant staff
  • Communicating any significant operational issues that arise to a manager
  • Planning the resourcing requirements for the funds in consultation with a manager
  • Serving as a role model and a mentor to staff under management. Specific responsibilities include: setting staff objectives, monitoring staff development against those objectives

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • At least 5 years of experience, preferably in finance related area, accounting background would be an asset
  • Third level qualification, preferably in accounting/business related discipline
  • Strong financial knowledge, especially relating to the financial instruments
  • Very good English
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (especially MS Excel)
  • Analytical skills
  • Responsibility for your tasks, timeliness and reliability
  • Experience in people management is preferred
