Cash Control Team Responsibilities

The Cash Control Team is tasked with the daily reconciliation of client and firm cash, effective cash management, the creation and processing of various reports, and the execution of bank payments. As a team member, you are expected to identify, investigate, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies, as well as create liquidity and cash management reports. The Cash Control Team collaborates actively with multiple global banking institutions and internal stakeholders.

Primary Duties

  • Ensure the daily reconciliation of Clients' funds (automated with AutoRek) and conduct thorough reviews.
  • Follow-up on reconciliation breaks until they are resolved conclusively.
  • Respond promptly to any queries from internal or external sources concerning the activity.
  • Calculate daily client money segregation in accordance with respective regulatory requirements and execute timely transfers.
  • Collaborate with the Treasury team to ensure compliance with client money regulations, internal policies, and the firm’s liquidity requirements.
  • Prepare daily client money and cash management reports (MI).
  • Identify and recommend improvements in the reconciliation process and other processing areas to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Prepare ad hoc corporate payments as requested by the business.
  • Maintain procedure manuals and other documentation.
  • Assist in internal and external audits as required.

  • Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Over 2 years of experience within Financial Services.
  • Experience in reconciliation or cash management preferred.
  • Minimum of a BA degree (Business, Finance, Management or Economics preferred)
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to multitask in a constantly changing environment.
  • Capacity to work independently and demonstrate individual initiative.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Capability to meet regular deadlines and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Proactive attitude in researching and resolving problems and issues.
