Processes managed within our SSC in financial area: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Master Data and Banking. The company offers opportunity to grow within one process or in the future also cross – process options are possible. Our clients are spread around Europe so there are options to practice different language skills. We are located in Poznan, Poland.

What you will be doing

We are seeking a proactive, experienced, and people-oriented General Ledger Team Leader to play a critical role within RGBS in Poznań. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliant management of the general ledger, period close, group and statutory reporting, and related activities. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, making strong communication and leadership skills essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and develop a professional team, supporting performance assessment, talent development and succession planning
  • Communicate and execute company goals by translating them into clear, actionable SMART tasks
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding and ongoing competency development for team members
  • Foster team engagement, recognize achievements and create a collaborative work environment
  • Support and coach junior staff, ensuring smooth daily operations in line with standard procedures and targets
  • Act as the first point of contact for escalations and manage effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with HR to address compliance, employee relations and leadership challenges
  • Ensure efficient workload distribution, monitor KPIs and proactively address delays or risks
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency by initiating process enhancements and supporting change management.
  • Oversee audit file preparation and facilitate both internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Demonstrate ability to drive proactive respond to challenges, proactive problem-solving and adapt to change within own area

What you bring

  • University graduate in Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience and 1-2 years in a leadership position
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting rules and controls
  • Experience in SSC/BPO
  • Strong affinity with automation and ERP systems
  • English - Advanced (C1, C2). German is a plus
  • Strong accounting knowledge (Polish GAAP or IRFS)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong affinity with automation and standardization
