Job Responsibilities:
Assisting with the development and maintenance of the Finance Systems environment
General Role description:
The role has responsibility for ensuring that the current Finance Systems environment, from across finance and the business, are suitably maintained and supported. The primary focus will be to support the global Cash Operations Teams using the Cash and Asset Reconciliation tool (AutoRek), as well as administrating a Payments Platform.
Finance Systems is an area which will continue to see significant future change as we adapt and improve our systems to better meet the diverse operational, reporting and analysis demands. The role offers the opportunity to play an important part in the development and support of new and improving systems and will be the initial contact point for our internal customers and stakeholders.
The role will ideally suit a candidate who has a hands-on approach and the ability to apply their knowledge and experience to derive robust system solutions, together with a strong financial process and control mindset.
The ideal candidate should have an inquisitive systems mindset, with the purpose to support an international finance function, and requires excellent communication skills, good attention to detail, broad systems knowledge and an enthusiastic helpful attitude.
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth running of the finance systems software products included in this role.
- Be a main point of contact for the Cash Operations, Share Dealing Control and Treasury teams and be responsible for maintaining, support and developing the systems and processes required to meet their internal and external reporting requirements.
- Work closely with the Finance Systems team and wider finance to implement and, where required, add to the finance architecture strategy. This includes understanding and considering system and process interdependencies.
- Project manage selected operational deliverables is a full project life cycle (requirement capture, solution design and incorporation into strategy, to final roll out and user sign off).
- Work closely with the wider IT department to ensure UAT testing of all changes to finance software products, including arranging for key staff to test their areas of the software before going live.
- Documenting all finance systems processes and procedures supported
- Be the ‘go to’ contact point for issues arising from the system processes for daily operations, including some out of hours incident management and support.
- Provide training and support for finance system users.
- Maintain external relations with 3rd party Finance Systems support providers and advise on upgrades and improvement options
What you'll need for this role
- Experience of maintaining and developing finance systems (listed below) and a proven aptitude for finding systematic solutions to problems.
- Experience of database administration
- Attention to detail; taking full ownership of assigned responsibilities; strong team ethos.
- Working in a fast-paced environment meeting regular individual as well as team/ project-based deadlines.
- Experience in working between Finance and IT department and understanding the different objectives each work to meet.
Qualifications
- University degree (in Finance, Accounting, IT, Maths or similar)
- Interpersonal Skills
- Analytical and systematic approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work unsupervised, showing initiative in identifying problems and posing solutions.
- Ability to understand business users requirements and apply these to define systems solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- MS SQL (querying and database administration) or other relational databases
- Power BI
- Sharepoint
- AutoRek or other Reconciliation tools
- Any Payments Platforms or Treasury Management Systems
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Access
- SNOW, JIRA or other ITSM tools
