Your team
This role is part of our Finance Systems and Change team -- we're responsible for optimizing our finance technology landscape, maintaining business-as-usual operations of systems across all finance divisions, and driving digitization initiatives across our global finance function. We deliver system enhancements, implement new solutions, and ensure our finance systems support both operational excellence and strategic business objectives.
Your role in the Team's Success
We're seeking a Finance Systems Project Manager to drive the delivery of finance technology initiatives that transform how we operate across our global finance function. You'll report to the Head of Finance Systems and Change, taking end-to-end accountability for delivering projects across reconciliation tools, workflows, general ledger systems, and treasury platforms. Working at the intersection of finance and the broader business, you'll deliver both finance-led system enhancements and finance systems changes required to enable commercial initiatives across the organization. You'll manage complete project lifecycles from requirements capture through to successful implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and achieve their intended outcomes. Your role will span quick wins through to complex transformational initiatives, requiring you to be adaptable and pragmatic in executing the finance technology transformation roadmap.
What you'll do
- Deliver finance systems projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, implementation, and post-go-live support, developing comprehensive project plans with clear timelines, milestones, and resource requirements
- Support commercial and business-led initiatives by conducting impact analysis, capturing requirements, and delivering finance system changes that enable wider business objectives
- Manage project governance including steering committees, status reporting, working groups, and RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) management to ensure controlled delivery
- Drive effective implementation management, coordinating with Finance Systems and IT teams to ensure robust testing (SIT/UAT), appropriate training provision, and successful operational transition
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement across finance and business functions, coordinating business analysis activities to ensure requirements, processes, and designs are thoroughly understood and documented
- Develop process documentation, user guides, and training materials while identifying continuous improvement opportunities and tracking project benefits to demonstrate value delivered
What you'll need for this role
Essential Requirements:
- Proven project management experience delivering finance systems or technology projects through complete lifecycles, with formal project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile PM) and experience using Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project) and automation tools for workflow optimization and process improvement
- Strong understanding of finance systems (general ledgers, reconciliation tools, consolidation platforms, planning systems) and finance processes/controls with ability to translate business requirements into system solutions
- Accounting or finance qualification (or part-qualified with relevant experience)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to engage effectively across finance, technology, and commercial teams, assessing business impacts and translating commercial requirements into finance system changes
- Strong planning, organisational, and analytical capabilities with proven ability to manage project governance (RAID, status reporting, steering committees) and multiple workstreams in fast-paced environments
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience with cloud-based finance systems implementation
- Knowledge of system integration and ETL processes
- Understanding of change management principles and user adoption strategies
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
