
For our Client, medical services international group we are looking for Financial Controller to oversee the financial reporting, compliance, and control environment for five small commercial legal entities operating in the medical services sector in the Netherlands in cooperation with local accounting and tax providers. The role will ensure accurate financial reporting in line with Dutch GAAP and IFRS, support statutory and management reporting, and act as a key finance partner to local management.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field,
- 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, accounting, or audit,
- strong hands-on experience with Dutch GAAP and IFRS,
- strong knowledge of financial reporting, statutory accounts, and audit processes,
- experience with ERP and accounting systems,
- solid understanding of internal controls and financial processes,
- detail-oriented with strong analytical skills,
- able to work independently and manage multiple priorities,
- strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a strong advantage),
- proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
- prepare, review, and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements,
- ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP and IFRS requirements,
- manage statutory reporting, including annual accounts and filings with Dutch authorities in cooperation with external provider,
- maintain a robust chart of accounts and accounting policies,
- lead the monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness,
- implement and maintain internal controls and financial procedures,
- review balance sheet reconciliations and key accounting judgments,
- ensure proper revenue recognition, cost allocation, and accruals, particularly in a medical services environment,
- act as the main point of contact for external auditors,
- coordinate statutory audits and address audit findings,
- ensure compliance with local tax, VAT, and regulatory requirements (in cooperation with tax advisors),
- provide financial insights and variance analysis to management,
- support budgeting and forecasting processes.
