We are looking for:
Core Workday HCM Tech Lead
Your future role:
- Lead the technical design of Workday HCM and integration solutions in collaboration with the System Architect and development teams,
- Translate business and product priorities into scalable technical designs and implementation plans aligned with the product roadmap and architectural principles,
- Oversee a geographically distributed team of developers, including internal staff, contractors and supplier resources,
- Ensure high‑quality, secure delivery of integrations and applications through code reviews, pull requests and adherence to development standards and best practices,
- Collaborate with senior leadership and peers across the organization to influence the strategic direction of application development and integration,
- Direct and facilitate formal and informal coaching, mentoring and development activities for team members, coordinating work of contractors and managed services providers.
Apply if you have:
- At least 6 years of progressive experience in managing information technology applications and their impact on business strategies and productivity,
- Strong, hands‑on experience with Workday integrations, including Workday Studio, Workday Connectors, EIB, Document Transformation, Report as a Service and Workday API integrations (SOAP and REST),
- Proven experience with Workday Extend (required),
- Very good understanding of cloud SaaS architecture principles and integration patterns,
- Solid technical background in Java, JavaScript, APIs (SOAP & REST), XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, oAuth 2.0, PGP and mySQL,
- Experience in delivering complex Workday technical integrations in global deployment environments,
- Experience working in an iterative or agile software development environment and in global/virtual teams,
- Practical experience with data analysis, middleware and problem solving in integration scenarios,
- Good understanding of security and data privacy standards, data governance and integration/development standards and best practices,
- Experience with CI/CD practices and tools, preferably Azure DevOps and Git, including automated build and deployment pipelines,
- Experience integrating applications with enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and the .NET ecosystem,
- Familiarity with Workday HCM, Talent Management, Recruiting and Security configuration,
- Experience with BIRT report design and 3rd‑party payroll integrations,
- Experience in application development spanning multiple technology platforms for a global network of professional firms,
- Experience engaging in cloud application development in Azure, including proofs of concept.
