Training and Capability Manager, Internal Audit

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit Strategy Methodology, the Training and Capability Manager will facilitate the implementation of a talent rotation program, assist the establishment of clear Internal Audit career pathways, build and deliver training and onboarding programs. Furthermore, this role will support implementation of Internal Audit communication plan to continuously develop the Internal Audit brand within ABB, considering stakeholders’ specific needs, content, timing and channels of communication.

The work model for the role is hybrid.

Your Responsibilities

Competency Framework and training:

• Competency Framework: Maintain the Internal Audit competency framework and track the progress of internal audit career path implementation.
• Training Curriculum: Design, develop, and facilitate delivery of a comprehensive global training program covering technical, business, and soft skills, ensuring compliance with CPE requirements.
• Training Logistics: Manage the global Internal Audit training calendar, coordinate session logistics (virtual and in-person), and track participation.
• Knowledge Management: Curate and manage the IA function's central knowledge repository, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing.

Internal Audit Rotation Program:

• Implementation   Management: Manage the execution of the global internal audit rotation program, coordinating with stakeholders and participants. Track participant progress and gather feedback for continuous program improvement.
• Communication: Facilitate the implementation of an effective communication plan, positioning the rotation program as a key pipeline for developing future leaders within Internal Audit and the wider ABB organization.

Community management and communication:

Support implementation of Internal Audit communication plan and establish community management within the function.

• For the Global Audit Team: Create engaging and regular communications (e.g., newsletters, intranet content, webinars) on methodology updates, best practices, training opportunities, and functional news to promote collaboration and shared purpose.
• For Internal Audit Leadership: Prepare concise and impactful executive summaries, presentations, and talking points on the status of strategic initiatives, training ROI, and talent development progress.

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Communications or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Learning   Development, Corporate communications or Project Management.
• Demonstrated experience in developing communication plans for various executive and employee audiences.
• Highly proficient in written communication, verbal delivery, and presenting to groups.
• Experience managing competency frameworks and professional development programs.
• Demonstrated skill in creating and delivering engaging training programs for an international audience.
• A background in internal audit, finance functions or professional services is highly advantageous.
