Your Team

Trading is the core of the IG business and is a data rich environment. We are seeking the analyst who can process and present data to assist in decisions to optimise revenue within our trading function.

Your role in the Team's success

As a member of the trading/quants team you will be close to the core of the IG business. You will learn how trading functions and what the key drivers of profitability are for our business. You will report to quants team

which exposes you to a technical team with lots of opportunities to learn.

What you’ll do

  • You will run queries to meet the requirements of the trading area or the quants area.
  • You will develop processes for regular automated reporting for trading area.
  • You will provide sales teams with reporting support for their key performance indicators.
  • You will build data visualizations for the trading area.
  • You will build and maintain data pipelines that support quantitative research and already deployed (live) processes.

What you’ll need for this role

  • Experience of data processing and visualization
  • Experience using Python, SQL, MS Excel, git
  • Experience with GCP, orchestration (airflow), docker containers and management of data pipelines
  • Communication and collaboration skills. You’ll be working across a number of different stakeholders and you’ll need to work closely with them to understand and support their needs.
  • Attention to detail.
