We are currently looking for:

Alternative Systems Business Analyst
Location: Kraków, małopolskie

 

 

 

As an Alternative Systems Business Analyst you will be act as a liaison between technical and business user groups. You must be able to interpret what the users need and translate those requirements into detailed specifications supported by our development methodology. You must be able to identify design and development options and communicate the pros and cons of these effectively to both business and technical audiences.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Identify and eliminate miscommunications between business and technical project team members
  • Review business requirements documents for completeness, clarity, assumptions, issues
  • Logically translate business needs for technical development by Systems personnel
  • Facilitate the definition of functional requirements by working with Programmer Analysts and Users in prototyping and design sessions
  • Translate and present project concepts into effective visual images which clarify design elements and issues for both business and technical audiences
  • Develop clear, concise methodology documents, which require proficiency in interviewing skills, workflow analysis, dataflow diagramming, screen design, ERD modelling, reporting specifications etc…
  • Identify gaps in current products or solutions, and participate in creating new solutions to fill these gaps
  • Understand the system architecture and functionality, assess the feasibility of client requests and applies the features of the various products as applicable
  • Select the most efficient and cost effective solutions for the systems and process design
  • Ensure methodology is followed for project; provide meaningful feedback in accordance with departmental standards and guidelines
  • Maintain issue log; coordinate and support communications surrounding both systems and user acceptance for assigned project(s)
  • Develop project management skills
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of BBH methodology
  • Participate in systems rollout
  • Conduct user training

 

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelors degree or related work experience
  • 5+ years of experience writing technical specifications, preferably at a financial services company
  • Knowledge of full life-cycle methodology of systems development
  • Knowledge of eFront Invest vendor product a plus
  • Accounting, Custody and Transfer Agency for Alternatives Funds experience a plus
  • Ability to analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Able to create presentations using software such as Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Able to use standard desktop tools effectively (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office)
  • Superior written and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Exposure to project work and project planning, as well as project management software
