As a Systems Programmer VB.NET you will join Alternatives Systems Department. You will be responsible for Software development (VB.NET applications).

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

• Participate in the design, specification, development, and testing of applications adhering to BBH application standards and methodology
• Responsible for the configuration and the customization of a Web based application using VB.NET. Some C#, JavaScript and JSON development might be required. The underlying architecture is a sophisticated platform  (vendor product) comprising a powerful .NET framework, based on industry-standard Microsoft.NET technology
• Execute unit test plans, document test results and resolve discrepancies as deemed appropriate
• Debug programs and troubleshoot application issues, in production and development
• Self-motivated to research, learn and apply current technology to solve business challenges
• Ability to work independently with some guidance
• Prepare supporting documentation as needed, including but not limited to Technical Specifications (Computer Systems Design) and Unit Test plans

Key qualifications include:

• 2-3 years of experience in VB.NET programming
• Some experience in C#, JavaScript and JSON programming
• Working knowledge with MS Visual Studio for Applications and Web Services development is required
• Must have experience in building SQL queries for Oracle, stored procedures and must understand basic principles of data modeling
• Working knowledge with AJAX,.NET architecture and MVC framework a plus
• Knowledge of databases (Oracle), MS Office
• Good organizational skills, ability to work quickly, and accurately
• Strong analytical, design, communication, testing and documenting skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to teach/share knowledge
• Superior written and oral communications skills

Nice to have:

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge of full life-cycle methodology of systems development
• Knowledge of eFront Invest vendor product a plus
• Knowledge of Accounting, Custody and Transfer Agency for Alternatives Funds experience a plus
