You will be responsible for testing and creating automation of big accounting system. In this role you will support functional testing of new projects and enhancement, creating test cases, documenting and executing them. Later utilize gained experience to automate repeatable tasks and tests.   We are looking for candidates who are able to understand and analyze data structures, organize them into test data, create algorithmic flow and code. Requirements:

•  Knowledge of testing terminology and testing process
•  Experience with working in distributed development teams
• Knowledge of object oriented programming languages (e.g. Java, C#)
• Experience of working with database clients and ability to create SQL queries
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Selenium/WebDriver, Fitnesse, JBehave, soapUI)

Nice to have:

• Continuous integration experience – Jenkins/Hudson
• Experience with testing Web Services (REST, Soap)
• Knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g. JavaScript, Groovy, Python, Bash)
• experience with ALM/Quality Center or qTest"
• Knowledge of markup languages XML, HTML, CSS

Project overview :

The Fund Services team covers several key applications at BBH and covers all aspects of QA including business functional testing, automation, regression, technical functional testing and performance testing.  All our teams use the following automation and technical tools for testing; Java, Selenium web driver, Jenkins, SVN/GIT, Maven, Crucible, SQL/Toad/plsql, IntelliJ, JIRA & qTest.

STAR: The fund accounting platform. It is the single biggest and most complicated application at BBH. It is a massively parallel system with 80 compute engines, a 40 terabyte Oracle DB that does pricing for funds, trades, reporting and account management for fund systems. We have a team of about 15 QA working on this covering all aspects of testing using our automation framework, we  develop functional and regression automation, performance and technical backend testing. Due to the size of the application we are modularizing our testing and have a framework for testing at the engine level and simulate the fund pricing process, with work in progress to cover other component areas of STAR. Major releases happen 6 times a year with ongoing projects that are broken up into smaller teams to develop an test that all roll up into these releases.
