Job summary:

 

Thought leadership and research play a central role in State Street’s marketing strategy. They help us differentiate State Street in the eyes of our clients, drive our marketing campaigns and equip our client-facing teams with timely, targeted research and content.  In collaboration with our clients, business and marketing partners, we identify topics that will drive meaningful discussions. We blend proprietary survey research, industry data and expert commentary to position State Street as a knowledgeable, trusted partner.

 

We focus our global research and thought leadership on top-of-mind issues for our target audiences, which include senior executives at asset managers, asset owners, insurers, consultants and other influencers within the investment management industry. We seek to tailor the insights we offer to the unique interests and needs of these audiences and deliver in new and exciting ways from infographics to online benchmarking tools.

 

We’re seeking a new member of our team who will:

  • Work with marketing and business partners to identify themes that align with the needs of our clients and with State Street business objectives.
  • Analyze data from external sources and proprietary survey research to create compelling storylines that are tailored to the needs of our clients, prospects and influencers globally.
  • Drive innovation across our thought leadership program, both in content and delivery (including digital/interactive).
  • Manage complex project plans and deliverables for global audiences.
  • Write and edit content for internal and external audiences, ensuring alignment with State Street’s quality standards, voice and messaging.
  • Take responsibility for securing all required approvals on content, including legal and compliance.
  • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional marketing teams – including employee communications, media relations, global events, social media and creative – to help deliver marketing campaigns and ensure thought leadership strategy is executed consistently and efficiently.
  • Support the development of toolkits and briefing materials to help sales and other client-facing teams to use our research effectively.

 

Qualifications:

  • A degree in business, finance, economics, journalism or a related field
  • Between 3 and 7 years of professional experience in the financial services industry
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, sensitivity to global stakeholder needs
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills and impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Proactive approach, self-motivated and ready to solve problems
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a global, deadline-oriented environment
  • Experience working in digital and social media environments
